Ahoy!!! There's a Possum in My Room!!!!!

Meet Bert :) My long lost possum friend who I'm gonna miss so much when I leave.

We first met back in 2007 when, on a hot summers night, I awoke to rather an odd noise coming from the corner of my room. "Oh my god!! Robbers!! I'm being murdered in my sleep!" was my initial thought, but no, when I turned on the light I was looking into those beautiful big brown eyes so full of fear yet curious in their ceaseless stare. We bonded over a banana and so began our tumultuous relationship of fright and admiration.

So when Seymour Butts (the Puk Puk from next door) moved in downstairs and my bro and I came across the remains of one Trichosurus vulpecula (common brush tail possum) we assumed that Bert had left us for that giant tree branch in the sky. It was a sad day (I won't go in to details) :(

Imagine my surprise when last Saturday, after a hard night at the annual Beer Fest, I was greeted at 2am by the frantic window scratching and face sniffing antics of ......bah ba ba bah..... BERT!!! YAY!!!!

So we shared a banana and mused over the latest comings and goings within the neighbourhood and then Bunnikins and Bert discussed the problem of Seymour's bad manners. What a perfect reunion. Love ya Bert! xxxx

WARNING! POST CONTAINS GRATUITOUS CUTENESS

KAWAII (Japanese for cute)!!

F
or those of you who know me well, I'm sure you're all aware of my undying and profound love for the Mogwai. Also referred to as Puk puks, Nortons or (more scientifically) "Felis Catus".

The Nortons of the world always bring a smile to my face. I love their resilience, character, nastiness and their very conditional love. And they're just so cute. I know they get a lot of bad rap and like with every living thing there are some "bag eggs" amongst the crowd but even so, every living thing deserves love and understanding.

So here's the beginning of my tribute to the many cultures of Puk puks that I hope to encounter on my journeys. May you always sing badly, cry loudly and never cease clawing the expensive furniture. I love you all xxxx

I Thought I Was Dreaming

It was just a normal average kinda day. I awoke with little time to spare, made a mad dash to get my usual coffee and arrived at work with the usual "normalness" that follows me there every morning. I sat down for my morning dose of style.com runway updates and behold!!!! My day became EXTRA-SPECIALLY-FANTASTICALLY inspired. I owe it all to those crafty boys who create Dsquared2. It's like they created it all for me (yeah I know, not quite) but it's perfect. I love it. It's makes camping cool (for all those of you who didn't know how cool it was already:) Check out my top picks....

Amazing hey? I especially love the tutu and sweater (I'm serious, why not?!) This is why fashion is fun :) Embrace!

Much luv

and thanks style.com for the photos
